DevOps Engineer

Hyper-growth adtech company building systems that transact in real-time and at high scale for their customers.  The DevOps team delivers, maintains, and evolves the infrastructure that makes all of this possible. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be a key player, helping us create scalable infrastructure-as-code using cutting edge tools. You should have some experience working on CI/CD pipelines, systems reliability or orchestration technologies tools integrated with DevOps best practices.

This role can be remote, with US EST operating hours.  

What you’ll do:

As a DevOps Engineer you will be developing and executing on our infrastructure strategy.  You will be working with the team to develop and enhance our code release processes from writing a line of code to executing code in the state of the art container technologies.  You will be developing our infrastructure to scale and integrate tools and technologies to ensure system reliability and maintainability.  You will work closely with developers to support high performance teams.  Think tools to automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment, and ephemeral environments to empower parallel feature execution  

Most importantly, you will collaborate across our entire development team to help accomplish team goals.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer deploying scalable applications in a public cloud environment such as AWS , GCP or Azure

• Strong ability to learn new technologies and work collaboratively across the organization

• Experience with one or more of the following:

  • infrastructure tools and techniques such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible, CloudFormation, Terraform or others

  • container and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift

  • scripting languages Python, Typescript, Go or Ruby

• Experience with big data technologies, streaming analytics and the deployment of machine learning technologies would be a great plus.

• Experience in adtech (SSP, Exchange, RTB) would also be a great asset.

The Technology team architects, builds and tests the platforms that make all of this possible. As a Sr. Software Engineer, you will be a key player, helping them create scalable real-time systems, API services and databases. You should have a strong desire to learn new skills and be part of a growing technology and engineering team.

This role can be remote, with US EST operating hours.

What you’ll do:

Sr. Software Engineers get the chance to work on a diverse set of backend projects.  From building real-time scalable systems that process thousands of publisher requests (to fill ads) per second, to engineering pre-bid fraud detection in milliseconds, and building out all the restful services required to operate the platform.   As a Sr. Software Engineer they will count on you to:

• Be a strong communicator and collaborator within and across the organization

• Use your strong technical expertise, to lead and drive architectural sound system designs

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Technical discipline with at least five years of work experience, or equivalent total work experience building and architecting enterprise platforms

• Strong coding fundamentals with experience coding in high-level languages (e.g. GoLang (preferred), C#, C++ or Java). IT DOESN’T MATTER WHAT LANGUAGE YOU CURRENTLY USE.

• Experience in one or more of the following areas: real-time software development, Service Oriented architecture design & API development, data modeling/database architecture

Linux Engineer

Searching for a Linux Engineer for a fast-paced, exciting, financial services firm. The ideal candidate should be a creative problem solver with strong technical skills.

SKILLS

• Proven track record of supporting RedHat, CentOS, Oracle Linux operating systems.

• Proven track record of automating tasks via bash/perl scripting.

• Proven track record of implementing medium to large scale hardware build-outs.

• Flexible and comfortable working in both a leadership role as well as a member of a team.

• Working knowledge of Windows 2012 and higher;

• Experience of using automation tools such as Puppet, Chef, CF Engine.

• Managing physical hardware, specifically HP DL servers;

• Intermediate understanding of TCP/IP (IPv4) and networking devices;

• Knowledge, experience and awareness of change management;

Bonus Qualifications

• Prior experience setting up, monitoring, and maintaining one or more of the following:

  • Solarwinds Orion

  • Splunk 4.3 or later

  • Corvil or similar real time network analytics tools.

• Prior experience in Finance / Electronic Trading;

• Understanding / awareness of FIX messaging protocol;

• Well versed utilizing Regular Expressions (RegEx).

Requirements

• One or more of the following certifications, or equivalent proven experience:

• ITIL Foundation

Front End Developer

Seeking a UI Developer / Front End Developer to work on the full construction of features, changes, bug fixes, and tests.

What you’ll do:

• Experience utilizing Angular (UI) web application framework for client applications, support scalable and high-performing user experience and unit test on all new systems.

• Experience with Agile Methodologies, and full software development life cycle, including code standards, unit test and source control management (GitHub)

• Full Stack Development based on prioritized requirements establishing industry best practice for technology and design.
